Is There a God?
Some visitors to this page may have doubts about the reality of God. While I have never doubted that 'God is' (just 'who He is'), I think the approach from the Catholic Batlimore Catechism that approaches this question with the use of basic, natural reason. Three points stand out...

1. History: every human culture has worshiped God in some way (inborn practice of religion)

2. Man actions: often spiritually motivated and physically restrained (soul)

3. Orderly universe: the world could not have been created by chance or accident (Creator)*

In other words, the attempt to worship God was as natural to primative cultures as their physical needs with which they were born. Fasting, sacrificing sleep for prayer, and enduring physical discomfort in order to gain spiritual benefits goes against those inborn physical needs and wants: that he is willing and able to do them show that man is more than an advanced ape. The more scientists learn the more they realize how little they know about creation: how could this have happened by random luck?

There are millions of websites with millions of subjects, educational and entertaining, that you could be looking at right now but you are here. Perhaps this is the most strking evidence of God's Providence (i.e. His active role in your life).
