Christ Reveals His Church
Jesus Christ established the Church on the truth (the 'rock') that He was the God:
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 16:16-18
The Church on earth is the visible Body of Christ on earth:
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
For the body is not one member, but many...Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 27
There are individual local churches (groups of believers) but they parts of the one, Universal Church:
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
[There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:3-6
The teachings of the Church are precise and unchanging...
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:8-9
...because Christ and His Gospel are unchanging:
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines...
Hebrews 13:8-9
No religion before or after Christ is a valid alternative to Christianity:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12
If all religions are equally good paths to salvation, why did God have to send His Son to suffer and die?
